The Priest They Called Him

Such kind of unusual stuff can be meet on my blog is very rare on my blog, but to honest i need to say that such kind of stuff was never posted on my blog. Today i want to present for you an unusual collaboration of two completely different persons - Kurt Donald Cobain and William Seward Burroughs II. First was an impressive American singer, guitar player, song writer and leader of worldvibe known group "Nirvana". Second was an American novelist, poet, essayist, painter and spoken word performer. William is considered to be "one of the most politically trenchant, culturally influential, and innovative artists of the twentieth century".

Kurt Cobain and William S. Burroughs - "The Priest" They Called Him (320)

This track was originally released as a limited edition 10-inch EP picture disc on Tim/Kerr Records in 1993 and subsequently re-released on CD and 10-inch vinyl. In this composition Cobain provides dissonant guitar backing based on "Silent Night" and "To Anacreon in Heaven" to Burroughs' deadpan short story reading.

But story that was used in "The Priest They Called Him" firstly took part in short clay animated film "The Junky's Christmas" wich was made in 1990. This film was produced by Francis Ford Coppola.

Видео "The Junky's Christmas" содержит русские субтитры, и все те кто не знает английского может спокойно войти в суть рассказа.
